DTC 53: Motor Stuck ON Clear the DTC (see page 19-90). Test-drive the vehicle. Does the ABS indicator come on and is DTC 53 indicated? YES - Replace the ABS modulator-control unit. NO - The system is OK at this time.

DTC 54: ABS Fail-safe Relay Clear the DTC (see page 19-90). Test-drive the vehicle. Does the ABS indicator come on and is DTC 54 indicated? YES - Replace the ABS modulator-control unit. NO - Intermittent failure; the vehicle is OK at this time.
