Clutch Interlock Switch Test

 4-7 Starter Solenoid Test

  1. Disconnect the clutch interlock switch 2P connector.

  1. Remove the clutch interlock switch (A).
  1. Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.

  1. If necessary, replace the switch or adjust the pedal height (see page 12-4).
  1. Check the hold-in coil for continuity between the S terminal (A) and the armature housing (ground). There should be continuity.
  • If there is continuity, go to step 2.
  • If there is no continuity, replace the solenoid.

  1. Check the pull-in coil for continuity between the S terminal (A) and M terminal (B). There should be continuity.
  • If there is continuity, the solenoid is OK.
  • If there is no continuity, replace the solenoid.
