Make the appropriate reference lines at positions A and B that line up with the centre of the sub-frame mounting bolts (C). Support the sub-frame with a 4 x 4 x 40 in. piece of wood and a jack.

Remove the 10 x 1.25 mm bolts (A) and 4 sub-frame mounting bolts (B), then lower the sub-frame (C). Remove the driveshafts from the differential. Coat all precision finished surfaces with clean engine oil, then tie plastic bags over the driveshaft ends.
